About Adeola
Adeola Sokunbi is a sports, entertainment, and hospitality professional whose career reflects a willingness to pivot, grow, and take on new challenges. With experience across organizations like Warner Media, The PGA, The Coca-Cola Company, and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, she has contributed to work that has generated millions in revenue and reached audiences at scale.
Built from the Ground Up
Her foundation in hospitality started early, working in restaurants while in college and gaining experience in both front and back of house roles. That hands-on background shaped her understanding of customer experience, team dynamics, and operational efficiency, which continues to influence her work today.
Experience at Scale
After graduating from Georgia State University’s School of Hospitality, Adeola went on to manage contract negotiations and logistics for major events at venues like Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia World Congress Center, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Her work included supporting large-scale events such as the Men’s NCAA Final Four and Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.
Continued Growth
Committed to expanding her expertise, she earned her Certified Venue Professional designation through the International Association of Venue Managers and later completed her Master’s degree at the University of Georgia School of Law, focusing on business law.
Beyond Consulting
Alongside her work in sports and entertainment, Adeola has built a presence in the culinary space. She created the Yolaskitchen® Dinner Party series to bring people together through food, which led to the development of Ade Spice®, a specialty sauce brand now sold nationwide and used by chefs across the country.
Her Work Today
Through AYO Hospitality and Consulting Services, she works with clients ranging from local restaurants to large food service operators, helping them navigate challenges and build stronger, more sustainable businesses.
Giving Back
Adeola remains committed to mentorship and education. She serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching Hospitality Law at Georgia State University, is a registered mediator in the state of Georgia, and supports initiatives like the Navigate Foundation, connecting students with real-world industry experience.
From restaurants to large-scale events to advising growing businesses, her work has always centered on people, experience, and doing things the right way. Today, she brings that same perspective into every client partnership.
